Wisconsin Families, Introduce Yourselves
As Families.com is growing, we thought it would be fun for families to be able to find, network with and make friends with other families in their area. These families could talk about local issues, local events, local support groups, local politics and other issues specific to that location. These families could share reviews of restaurants, doctors, schools, politicians, parks and other businesses. We thought it would be nice to know which businesses and services other families liked and disliked. These families could provide reviews of local entertainment, culture and other attractions for other families who might take a vacation to that area. The families could have online garage sales or give away hand-me-down items to other families in the area who might be able to use them. These families could form local support groups, get together and go out to lunch (keeping safety issues in mind), or come together to support a local good cause.
This is our vision for the Families.com Local area. We encourage everyone to start off by introducing themselves on their local forum. Share whatever you feel comfortable and appropriate. What do you like to do for fun? Tell us about your family. Why do you come to Families.com? What kind of friends would you like to meet? What are your favorite things about the area where you live? What are your least favorite? Where is your absolute favorite place to eat? Help us start this local support and networking forum in your area.

Hi Y all Cheeseheads-
I was born in Madison, lived there in my later years('94-'05)-but have moved to Grafenhausen/Weiterstadt,Germany(by Darmstadt),to live with my new Wife of 15 months. We plan to move back to Wisconsin within the next 3-4 years.
My Heart is still very much in Wisconsin-and always will be.My Wife,Maggie has lived here for almost 45 years-coming over in the mid 60's to pursue a Career as an Opera Singer. She was very successful for almost 20 years, before retiring Professionally.
We will try to form a "local German Forum",but meanwhile-we would like to keep in touch with the folks in Wisconsin.I read as much as I can on the Internet about Wisconsin- daily.
My Son and his Wife live in Menasha,Wi.He manages Citizen Bank in Omro;and my daughter-in-law works for Citizens Credit Union in Oshkosh.
My Daughter-in-law was barn and raised in Watertown, but moved to Arizona, where she and my Son met. They lived in Marerro,La.for 5/6 years, before being chased out by the bad Hurricanes,so decided to move back up to Wisconsin. My Son tells me-Wisconsin is the best place he has ever lived-and I can certainly agree with him-there's no place like Wisconsin-and as we say:"When You say Wisconsin-you've said it all!"
Well that's a little bit on us-would love to hear from any and all Wisconsinites/Badgers.
Best Wishes
Bill n Maggie
P.S.We went to High School together in Los Angeles,Ca.It took us 50 years to become re-acquainted-but look what happened-when we did!

Hello Wisconsin folk!
I am originally from Chippewa Falls! I was born in Manitowac, but was raised in Chippewa, until I moved away to college in River Falls. Since then I'd lived in Hudson, WI, but now I live just over the border in Woodbury, MN-- just outside St. Paul.
