There is Cedar Point, The best Amusement Park in America ( not my opinion, voted that way by some Amusement Park Mag.Most Roller Coasters in America. Great to visit, a drag to work there)
Cleveland Metro Park is 21 miles of winding mazes throughout the Cleveland areas and burroughs, host 5 golf courses, riding parks ( with horses, Rocky River Riding reservation) a great view of the Cuyhahoga River etc etc...)
Three zoos in Ohio were voted 3 of the best in America:
Cincinnati, Akron and Toledo. Cleveland has a pretty great zoo too, with a working Rainforest.
Like the Flowers? We in Cleveland have Biodomes with 3 different climates available...not to metion our outdoor preserve that is attached. Breathtaking in the spring
Wanna see a Broadway show? Cleveland's Euclid Ave is home to many of them, the largest off broadway live theater area in America, 2nd ONLY to New York City
Got an Art itch and want to Inspire your KIDS? The Toledo Museum of Art 5th best Art Museum in America and The Cleveland Museum of Art, It's new Monet exhibit is running until MAY
The Health Museum, an interactive Museum for kids and adults alike to learn about all thisng Health located at the Cleveland Clinic
Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Dinosauers and Planes and interactive all the way
Cleveland=Rock N Roll. How about the rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame...Or, Right next to it the Cleveland Science Museaum, again, very Family Friendly VERY Interactive!! ( live closer to Toledo, CSM sister, COSI is located there)
Air Shows? Blue Angels come to the Cleveland air strip and put on a 5 hour show every Labor day

Fourth of July? What to do besides Fireworks? How about Nascars Roar by the Shore. All the title holders compete for Another elusive trophy in Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie every July fourth
Don't want to wait until July 4th. How about Norwalk Ohio, One of the only raceways in Ohio thatr is homneto the Competing races for the Indianapolis 500 every weekend, every summer...beware, people (Nascar fans) camp out there all summer, so look to make new friends and eat lots of barbecue
Want big Boats, .like really BIG Schooner boats? Cleveland and Toledo host the Great boats of the Great Lakes every fall when schooners pull into port for touring and historical value
Of course, Farther south Is the Wright Brothers Museum in Dayton. They may have flown out Of Kitty Hawk, but they were born HERE in Ohio
Want to do Hitorical? More President of the United States of America AND Thomas Edison were born in Ohio, All of their homes are now free museums in various locals of Ohio
Glass blowing thrill you? Tiffen was the largest Glass factory in America and still has the orginal factory where they have free tours and in the summer they have a glass blowing fair. It is the BOMB!!!!
Oh, your a war Buff? How about the various Forts( Fort Perry, Put-In Bay) located all through upper ( Northern Ohio) where menay brave men in the Civil, Revolutionary and war of 1812 lost there lives but their memories live on preserved at these fort
Renaissance Family? Wooster Ohio has one of the Largest renaissance Faires in America in late summer/early fall and in Spring for all ye to enjoy, including horses with the poles and riders ( the name of it escapes me right now) knocking each other off their respective horses, knights and kings and days of past.
Doing the Geological thing? One of your kids a "rockhound" How about Put In Bay, not only is it a preserved Fort for Captain Perry who fought on the shore of Lake Erie ( Re-inactment every summer), it's the world's LARGEST Geode ( yes it is) inside the island is actually the world's largest Geode and there are tours all summer
Also, since it's a Island, once you put the Kiddies to bed, there are 8-9 rocking bars that you and your wife ( or significant other) can enjoy the night life on the ISland
Into Wildlife? How about the Wilds in Zanesville, the largest Northern American wildlife preserve, home to Lions and tigers and bears, oh my,,, not to mention Gazelles and giraffes and lama amd (other than the lions and tigers and bears) there is a family feeding area. When will you ever get to feed a giraffe?
More Amusement PARKS!!! you scream, Kings Island (very Family Friendly) in Cinci, and Geauga Lake (Now owned by Cedar Point) in Aurora
Into trees and Hiking, Hocking Hills in mid-Ohio ( Hocking County) is one of the largest preserved areas full of caves and hiking areas and since it is a National PArk IT'S FREE
Like to visit a different culture altogether? How about the Amish. Holmes County has the largest settlement of Amish in America ( Most people say it's PA, but it's not, PA has the largest settlement of Mennonites) and in Holmes county there is a twenty mile stretch, encompassing about 20 towns of ALL Amish ALL the time small craft areas, food ( Your ain't eaten till you've tried some of their down home cookin") and furniture stores, where ou and your significant other can purchase genuine one of a kind Amish furniture. Not to mention the slew of Antique and quilt stores. Starting is Wooster Ohio, they will give you a map ( they are at Every store) and you can take yourself on a self guided tour to every Amish carpenter, antique store, restuarant and quilt place in that 20 mile stretch, not to mention the points of interest when your kids ooh and aah at the horse driven buggies and the puppy mills ( all humane) at noon when the Amish ( Who will breed dogs for large companies humanely) let all the puppies out to run....
Finally, got a sports nut? College or Professional? Want to see an Indians or Browns or Cavaliers game in Cleveland?
More a southern gent? Cinci is home to the Bengals...(we don't talk about that in Cleveland though)
College... HMMMM ever hear of a little team called OSU Buckeyes?
Oh, and what about our neighbors West Viginia, PA and Kentucky ( Less to do in Indiana, unless you want to drive to Indianapolis for the Indianapolis 500)
