First and foremost, visit Atlantic Beach. The water is great and the beach is beautiful. There are lots and lots of beach stores to get presents for those left behing. Down the street from the beach is Fort Macon. Leftover from the Civil War, it has been reconditioned and is ready to teach anyone that enters very interesting history. There is Emerald Isle, famous for it's beautiful houses and amusement parks. You can visit military bases, national forests, the fishing is great, and the surfing is out of this world. There is lots to do in eastern NC. Come visit and see!
